Barnminer Projects
Other mining related activity
Other than the barn I have had friends or associated asking about mining at home or their office/warehouse. I have a good friend who has been talking to me about doing a build at one his properties. We ran some numbers but his electricity was too high. We ended up getting him 11 Canaan Avalon A1246 96T and placing at a friends farm in Georgia. This seemed like a better idea. Saved him the cost of the buildout.
After my issues with a certain hosting company I was hesitant to consider sending someone to co-locate. Since then, I have met a number of privately owned and operated farms in the southeast. They have changed my mind completely. Everyone I met has been a large part in my success in my build. They have invited me to visit their facilities. I got to meet them shake their hands and take a tour. If I were to co-locate anything it would most deffinately be somewhere smaller, within driving distance, someone I can call if I have an issue. Shake your local miners hand.
I have a couple more projects I am working on.
Off Grid - One is later at the end of the year involving some off grid mining. My buddy has a retreat with 16kw of solar that goes unused most of the year. We will likey hook up some S9’s there to learn and expirement.
Local Build - Working on a local build at a friends office building. We are thinking about 10 Asics inside of an Upstream Data 96” Black box on a second floor balcony. We have the power capacity and the space. The BB96 will keep the brrr quiet enough. We will mound along the wall under the overhang.
Iowa to Help a friend -Sometime next month I am heading to Iowa to help a new friend plug in some miners he has been working hard on a remote container build. I am looing forward to it.
Keep building, keep hashing.
